About this Bani
Japji Sahib is the first composition in the Guru Granth Sahib, composed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It consists of the Mool Mantar, 38 pauris (stanzas), and a final Salok. It is recited by Sikhs every morning as the first prayer of the day. Japji Sahib summarizes the entire philosophy of Sikhism.
